Adelaide University branch was one of the Academy’s busiest branches in the 1980s. It was restarted by Senior Instructor Seth Piszczuk in 2007. Training is conducted in the spacious Irene Watson Room in the main University Union building on North Terrace campus. Directly opposite the Uni Bar, there are toilets, showers and change rooms just outside.
This branch is convenient for those living in and around North Adelaide, St Peters, College Park, Hackney, Kent Town and Norwood.
Seth Piszczuk
Inst. Seth joined the Adelaide City HQ as a casual student in 2003, transferring to the Certificate IV course in 2004. After working for the Academy as a part-time office assistant, he was appointed Overseas Student Coordinator in 2005 and has been leader of the Adelaide University Branch since 2007.
Inst. Seth was SA Trainee Instructor of the Year 2004 and SA Instructor of the Year 2007 and is a Level 2 Senior Instructor.
He says Wing Chun is not just a great fighting system – it also provides a tool for personal development. He finds it extremely satisfying to watch students grow through learning Wing Chun, gaining confidence in all aspects of their lives while gaining practical skills for self defence.
Instructor Seth is assisted at the Adelaide University branch by Level 2 Senior Instructor Tom Allen and Si-Hing Billy Stojanov.
